RARE RW32 1965 RON JENKINS FEDERAL DUCK STAMP DESIGN, PENCIL ORIGINAL. The original pencil drawing is rendered on a 13X11 Crescent Illustration board which is approximately 1/4 thick. Jenkins won the Federal Duck Stamp Print Design Contest in 1965 when he was only 35.
I talked to a friend who said he is still painting in his 80s and loving life in Charlo, MT. His RW32 print was so popular, that a 2nd and 3rd edition were requested. For the 3rd edition, he put the image on gray stock and the hand colored and remarqued 250 copies. That is what is for sale here.
Many would argue that with all the handwork done, this is pretty close to an original. The stone that he used for the lithograph, and the skill of the printer produced a long run of remarkable consistency throughout. Early and late prints cannot be told apart. The duck of course is as trio of Canvasbacks in flight over some heavy water. THIS IS A HAND DONE PECIL ORIGINAL COPY OF THE RW32 PRINT AS SUBMITTED BY THE ARTIST. IT OF COURSE HAS NO SIGNATURE, BECAUSE ALL JUDGING IS ANONYMOUS.
The original is signed on the back by Ron Jenkins, attesting to the provenance. If you dont see what you need, please ask, I may just have it. The item "RARE RW32 1965 Ron Jenkins Federal Duck Stamp Design, Pencil ORIGINAL #RW32FG" is in sale since Thursday, September 10, 2020.
